1. Stroll Through La Candelaria

One of my suggestions of places that I consider that haven’t passed at least once the eyes of those who visit Bogotá is La Candelaria. Stroll through stone pave streets and enjoy the views of houses and buildings of colonial architecture, modern murals, and lovely cafes. Piazza Bolivar is also an important attraction of the district, as it is located within easy walking distance of significant landmarks such as The Variances Cathedral and The Capitol. The best part? Visiting this colorful district is free!

2. Climb Monserrate

Monserrate a mountain top which is located along the northern side of Bogotá city provides a view of the city. You can hike up for free but it is not an easy climb at all. However, there is an option to use a cable railway or funicular with a small fee necessary for that purpose. During the summit, go to the lovely church and buy food from sellers.

Simón Bolívar’s Park is central Bogotá’s largest park and is often referred to as the ‘lungs of the city’ since people go for picnicking, jogging, or just take time off in the park. It also has a variety of ground activities mainly during festive seasons where most of the events in the park are free with open-air concerts.
